Indian Hills Fire Rescue

Indian Hills Fire Rescue (IHFR), founded in 1947 covering 12 square miles in Jefferson County (Colorado) including the areas of Lone Pine Estates, Mount Falcon Open Space, Myers Gulch & Turkey Creek Canyon. (FDID #05948)

Indian Hills Fire Protection District started out as a bucket brigade in the early 1940’s before being replaced in 1947 as the Indian Hills Fire Department and in the 1920’s as Indian Hills Fire Protection District.

Indian Hills Fire Rescue is part of the 285 corridor fire departments and has an auto-aid / and or mutual-aid agreements with Elk Creek Fire Protection District, Evergreen Fire Protection District, Foothills Fire Protection District, Inter-Canyon Fire Protection District & West Metro Fire Rescue.
