Dolores Fire Protection District

Dolores Fire Protection District (Dolores Volunteer Fire & Rescue) was founded in 1916 and covers 366 square miles in Montezuma County (Colorado) including the areas of Dolores River, Hay Camp Mesa, Lebanon, Lost Canyon, May Canyon, McPhee Reservoir, Pinion Flats Camp, Summit Ditch & Summit Ridge. Dolores Fire Protection District has mutual-aid agreements with the Cortez Fire Protection DistrictLewis-Arriola Volunteer Fire Department and Mancos Fire Protection District.

Dolores Fire Protection District is part of the Tri-State Firemen’s Association.

Ambulance transport is provided by SouthWest Health EMS.

Dolores Fire Protection District is dispatched by Cortez Communications Center.
