Arvada Basement Fire

At 15:48 on October 21st, 2025 Arvada Fire Protection District was dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 6000 block of Quail Ct. Jeffcom 911 advised that the fire is reported in the basement and Arvada Police officers with evacuation in process. Engine 56 arrived on scene to a small one-story single-family residence with a working fire and secured their own water supply and pulled 1 3/4 for fire attack with Medic 56. Engine 51 assigned with the primary search. Battalion 53 arrived and took over command on the Alpha side in the offensive strategy. Crews encountered heavy smoke conditions and a basement fire while working on making a fire attack and search of the structure. Firefighters located the fire in the basement and was able to get the fire under control by 16:05 while working in low visibility conditions. One resident was transported to a local hospital as a precaution with non-serious injuries by Medic 52. The American Red Cross was requested to provide resources to the residents.
