Acquired Structure Training
Aurora Fire Rescue conducted hose operations training in the old Metroeast Plaza, 14305 E. Alameda Ave. on April 6th, 2025. Crews from Engine 4 and Engine 8 worked on maneuvering a hose line up three floors of stairs and proceeding down a long hallway to attack a fire. The building used to house Gateway Credit Union, CU Medicine Dermatology, the Aurora Chamber of Commerce and the Aurora Police Foundation. Training in acquired structures is extremely valuable in teaching skills to new firefighters or reinforcing skills in veterans.
