South Metro Garage Fire

At 19:37 on December 24, 2025 South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a residential structure fire in the 7100 block of S. Cherry St. in Centennial. Engine 14 arrived to working structure fire with a fully engulfed garage of a single-family single-story home and began fire attack and Engine 15 established the water supply. Crews made entry into the home and worked on extinguishing hotspots and limiting the extension into the remainder of the home. Crews spent more than 2 hours fighting the flames. Both occupants exited the structure safely prior to our arrival and did not report any injuries. The cause is under investigation by the SMFR Fire Marshal’s Office.
