Denver Defensive House Fire

On December 25th, 2025 around 23:00 Denver Fire Department was dispatched to a possible structure fire in the 4300 block of Cherokee St. in Globeville. Crews arrived to a fully involved two-story abandoned residential with heavy fire conditions. Chief 6 arrived and assumed command with crews working a defensive fire attack and Tower 9 started master stream operations. The fire was put under control within 45 minutes and crews worked on overhaul. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
