West Metro Apartment Fire

At 06:37 on April 16th, 2025 Jeffcom 911 dispatched West Metro Fire Rescue and Arvada Fire Protection District to a reported structure fire in the 22oo block of Ames St. in Edgewater. Engine 1 arrived to a working fire with smoke showing from a small one-story apartment building and started fire attack and the primary search with Medic 1. District 1 arrived and assumed command on the Alpha side and assigned Medic 11 as medical. Engine 16 established the water supply to Engine 1 and Tower 2 went to the roof. Crews got the fire under control quickly and contained to the area of origin in the fire unit. The occupant was able to get out safely without any injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
