Franktown Engine 181 Accident

On March 7th, 2025 at 22:10 Franktown Fire Protection District Engine 181 was responding to a motor vehicle incident when it was involved in a single-vehicle accident near Hwy. 83 and Hwy. 86  close to Deerpath Rd. Due to rapidly deteriorating weather conditions, Hwy. 86 became dangerously icy. The four firefighters in the engine were wearing seatbelts and sustained only minor injuries.
