Highway 266 Fire
On March 21st, 2025 Rocky Ford Emergency Communications Center dispatched Rocky Ford Fire Department to a reported grass fire just south of Rocky Ford Wildlife Area on Hwy. 266. The fire burned 94.8 acres. No structures were damage or lost. Several fires including the La Junta 31 north and south fire were also burning in the area with mutual-aid support from local fire districts.
