West Metro Garage Fire

At 19:55 on July 25th, 2025 Jeffcom 911 dispatched West Metro Fire Rescue and Arvada Fire Protection Districtto a reported structure fire in the 2800 block of Kendrick St. in the Applewood neighborhood. Engine 5 arrived to a two-story single-family with heavy smoke from the garage and pulled 1 3/4 line to the Delta side for fire attack and Medic 5 with the search. Engine 17 secured the water supply to Engine 5. Battalion 53 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy and assigned Medic 58 as medical. A small fire was put under control quickly in the garage with no extension into the home. No injuries and the cause is under investigation. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
