South Metro Garage Fire
On September 15th, 2025 at 09:44 South Metro Fire Rescue and West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a reported residential structure fire in the 6800 block of S. Allison Way in Littleton. Engine 13 arrived to find a nothing showing from a small two-story home and started the investigation. Crews found a working garage fire and started fire attack with a 1 3/4 line and West Metro Engine 12 secured the water supply. The occupant safely evacuated and alerted firefighters that four cats were unaccounted for. District 3 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy and assigned Truck 14 to assist with fire attack in the garage and Medic 11 with medical. West Metro Engine 13 arrived and assigned to assist South Metro Engine 13 with the primary search and fire attack. Firefighters quickly knocked down the flames in the garage and extinguished the fire. Two cats were rescued and given oxygen by fire medics, while the two other cats were safely located without injury. The fire was contained to the garage with no extension to the home. Investigators with SMFR’s Fire Marshal’s Office determined the cause to be the improper disposal of smoking materials. Additional information provided by South Metro Fire Rescue
