Pueblo County Wantland Lane Structure Fire
Residential Structure Fire
On February 11th, 2025 around 17:15 Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Division (ESD) received tones for a residential structure fire in the 4500 block of Wantland Lane. The caller reported a fire in the chimney and fireplace area. Several units were enroute when the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center reported that the caller was advising them the fire was spreading. Winds in the area were strong at times causing the fire to quickly spread through the home. Before long more 9-1-1 callers started reporting the fire as being visible from the Interstate. First arriving units found a fully involved residential structure and began a defensive fire attack. Due to the location and lack of hydrants in the area a structure fire county wide strike team had been requested consisting of several engines and tenders from around the county. Units were on scene of the fire for 3-4 hours fighting the fire in wind chills that were below zero at the end of the fire. Information provided by Code 4 Photography
