South Metro Structure Fire

On February 21, 2025 at approximately 08:00 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at 21135 E. Hampden Place in Tallgrass. The reporting party advised dispatch that a candle had caught a curtain on fire. Engine 23 arrived on scene and found a working fire inside the residence. Crews were on scene a bout forty five minutes extinguishing the fire, checking for extension and ventilating the building. No injuries were reported.
