Thornton East 119th Place Attic Fire

Around 06:30 on February 17th, 2025 Thornton Fire Department and North Metro Fire Rescue District responded to the 3200 block of E. 119th Place on a reported structure fire. Engine 73 arrived to a two-story single-family split-level with a working fire, pulled a hand line to the front door for fire control and the primary search with Medic 73. Battalion 71 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy and Truck 74 went to the roof. Crews found fire in the attic area which was put under control quickly and contained to the attic space. All occupants were able to evacuate safely. The cause is under investigation.
