Thornton East 129th Ave Garage Fire

On April 16th, 2025 around 21:50 Thornton Fire Department and North Metro Fire Rescue District responded to a structure fire in the 4400 block of E. 129th Ave. Crews arrived to fire showing from the garage area and started fire attack and the primary search. Crews found an electric vehicle involved inside the garage with the fire extending into the home. Firefighters utilized a specialized electric vehicle blanket to fully contain the fire that involved the electric vehicle and prevent it from reigniting again.
