Arvada Garage Fire

On June 10th, 2026 at 15:31 Arvada Fire Protection District and West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a working structure fire in the 7100 block of Dover Way. Jeffcom 911 advised of multiple calls reporting a garage on fire with two vehicles in the driveway and hearing a loud bang before seeing the smoke and the fire. Engine 53 reported a large column of black smoke in the air from blocks away. Engine 53 arrived to a working fire with a fully involved garage fire and flames showing from both the Alpha and Charlie sides of the home and pulled a 1 3/4 for fire attack. Truck 54 arrived and started the primary search of the basement and Engine 55 secured the water supply to Engine 53 and then conducted a search with Tower 57. Battalion 52 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy. Crews worked the fire that extended into the first floor of the home and Engine 51 pulled a 2 1/2 off Engine 53 for fire control inside and Medic 55 assigned as medical. The fire was put under control at 15:55 and crews worked on an extended overhaul. One occupant self-evacuated and was evaluated on scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
