Arvada Structure Fire

On February 19th, 2026 at approximately 14:25 Jeffcom 911 dispatched Arvada Fire Protection District and West Metro Fire Rescue to a structure fire in the 8600 block of W. 84th Circle. Jeffcom 911 received multiple callers reporting . Engine 55 arrived to a working fire on the Delta side exterior from a two-story single-family home, secured their own water supply and pulled a line in for fire attack. Chief 52 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy. Engine 53 arrived and assigned to pulled a line off Engine 55 for fire attack inside the home, Tower 57 with the primary search and Medic 57 as medical. The fire extended into the attic space and inside the bedroom of the structure. Crews also worked to protect an exposure, ensuring fire didn’t get established in a neighboring home which was exposed to heat from the fire. One resident and dog self-evacuated, crews rescued one cat from the second floor, and a second cat was later found safe in the basement. Firefighters conducted extensive overhaul, ensuring the fire was completely out in the attic. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
