West Metro Garage Fire

On April 22nd, 2026 at 10:21 Jeffcom 911 dispatched West Metro Fire Rescue and Arvada Fire Protection District to a reported structure fire in the 2400 block of Otis St. in Edgewater. Engine 1 arrived to a small single-story single-family with light smoke from the garage and pulled a line in for fire attack with Squad 1. Medic 1 and Engine 17 started the primary search, Engine 3 secured the water supply and Medic 11 with medical. District 1 arrived and assumed command on the Alpha-Delta corner in the offensive strategy. Crews found a small fire at the front corner near the front of the home exterior which was quickly extinguished. The home was vacant at the time and no injuries were reported. The fire cause is under investigation by WMFR investigators. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue.
