West Metro Apartment Fire

On July 14th,, 2026 at 20:40 West Metro Fire Rescue Engine 1 to a fire alarm at the Edge 26 Sloan’s Lake, 6200 W. 26th Ave. in Edgewater. Jeffcom 911 advised that caller reporting smoke inside and the call was upgraded. Engine 1 arrived to a three-story multi-family with smoke showing and pulled a 1 3/4 line in for fire attack with Medic 11 and Squad 1 and Engine 16 arrived and set-up for the water supply. District 1 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy and assigned Medic 1 with medical and Tower 2 with ventilation. Crews found a the room and contents fire which was put under control quickly with no extension. The fire cause is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
