On June 16th, 2026 at 15:59 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to an vehicle fire in the 9500 block of W. Elmhurst Place in Jefferson County.  Jeffcom 911 received several callers reporting smoke and flames. Truck 14 arrived to a fully involved RV trailer in the backyard with portions of perimeter fencing also burning with a working fire from a shed and two resident structures threatened. Engine 13 secured the water supply to Truck 14.  The fire was quickly put under control and the rest of the response was canceled. The trailer was a total loss, with reported damage to fencing, portions of a wood deck, and two sheds, melted vinyl siding and a portion of the rain gutters on the home. A Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy suffered minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
