South Metro 2nd Alarm Fire

On April 20th, 2026 at 09:10 South Metro Fire Rescue and Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a reported residential structure fire in the 19700 block of E. Radcliff Place in Arapahoe County. After receiving multiple calls and reports of a heavy smoke plume, the call was upgraded to a 2nd alarm. Engine 23 arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and fire showing from two adjacent homes. Crews were on scene several hours extinguishing the fire and mopping up hot spots. One firefighter was taken to the hospital for evaluation. No other injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
