On June 30th. 2026 at 11:50 Thornton Fire Department, North Metro Fire Rescue District and Westminster Fire Department were dispatched for a house fire at in the 12400 block of Ash St. in Thornton. Engine 73 arrived to a working fire and requested a major incident tone. Engine 73 pulled a 1 3/4 line for fire attack on side Charlie and Delta sides. A second 1 3/4 line was taken inside by Engine 75 and Truck 74 placed their stick to the roof. All primary and secondary searches were negative. The fire was quickly knocked down and overhaul began. The side Delta exposure had head damage to the siding of the house.

Eng73 found the exterior of the garage on fire and quickly extinguished the fire with some heat damage to the neighboring home. There were no injuries and the cause is under investigation.
