West Metro RV Fire

On January 15th, 2026 at 20:29 West Metro Fire Rescue and South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure fire in the 2400 block of S. Chase Lane in Lakewood. Jeffcom 911 advised that an RV was on fire in the backyard of the home catching a fence on fire and reports of explosions. Engine 7 arrived on scene to active fire from an RV and pulled a 2 1/2 and 1 3/4 bundle for fire attack and Engine 8 secured the water supply at W. Lakeside Rd. & S. Chase Lane. District 2 arrived and assumed command in the offensive strategy. The fire was put under control quickly and the rest of the response was cancelled. Crews started an extended overhaul and investigation. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
