Westminster Second Alarm

On July 11th, 2026 at 18:01 Westminster Fire Department, Thornton Fire Department and Adams County Fire Rescue responded to reports of a apartment fire in the 4900 block of W. 93rd Ave in Westminster. Battalion 1 arrived on scene 3-story garden level apartment with a working fire in the middle of the building involving at least two floor with command on the Alpha side and requested a 2nd alarm. Engine 2 arrived and pulled a line for fire attack with Medic 2 and secured their own water supply. Truck 2 arrived and set-up for roof operations, Engine 3 went to the Charlie side with ground ladders for rescues and Medic 3 set-up for medical. The fire extended to multiple units with crews pulled multiple lines for fire attack. Truck 5 arrived and assigned to set-up for master stream operations and their own water supply. The fire was put under control and crews worked on an extensive overhaul on hot spots. The American Red Cross was requested for affected residents. The fire is under investigation by the Westminster Fire Marshal’s office. No injuries were reported. Additional information provided by Westminster Fire Department
