Just before noon on March 29th, 2010 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a semi with hay on fire at northbound C-470 at Morrison Rd. Crews arrived just north of the Morrison exit with hay on fire from a flatbed, started fire attack and requested a front loader and a tender for water shuttle. The truck was carrying 45 bales of hay and half of the load burned. A front loader from the City of Lakewood was used to pull the hay off the truck and firefighters would wet it down. C-470 was closed northbound for several hours, and no injuries were reported.
