Denver Garage Fire

On January 10th, 2010 at approximately 12:00 Denver Fire Department was dispatched to a garage fire at 2651 S. Cherokee St. Firefighters arrived on scene and found heavy fire coming from a detached garage. Crews spent about an hour on scene extinguishing the fire and mopping up hot spots. Their efforts were challenged by exploding ammunition stored in the structure. Two vehicles parked in the garage were destroyed. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is investigation.
