Vehicle Into Clear Creek

Around 09:00 on July 6th, 2011 Arvada Fire Protection District was alerted of a vehicle in Clear Creek at W. 44th Ave & Quail St. in Wheat Ridge with a possible person inside. A 911 caller reported that vehicle floated down Clear Creek from Prospect Park and stopped about a half-mile down the creek. Crews arrived and found a vehicle half submerged and stuck on a sandbar in the creek, crews started the investigation, and the Metro Dive Team was requested to the scene. Crews found a person in the vehicle that had no pulse and started the recovery. Crews worked over 2 hours to remove the victim, and get the vehicle towed out of the water.
