On October 8th, 2012 at 09:14 Loveland Fire Rescue Authority was dispatched to an MVA with extrication at I-25 & Hwy. 34.  Initial reports were a semi rolled over onto another vehicle, however upon arrival the first due determined the vehicle was being transported by the semi in question and no extrication was needed as no parties were inside.  However both saddle tanks were full of fuel and leaking rapidly onto the interstate.  The incident was changed from an extrication to a hazmat assignment. The semi was transporting two other vehicles which had sand and pre-mix concrete, and upon negotiating the curve of the on-ramp to southbound I-25, rolled over onto the interstate spilling its cargo.  Crews made quick work of offloading the leaking fuel and containing the remaining spill.  The driver walked away with minor injuries. The interstate remained closed for a number of hours during the cleanup. Additional information was provided by Justin King / Loveland Fire Rescue Authority
