Mount Falcon Fire

Around 12:30 on May 28th, 2012 Foothills Fire Protection District was alerted of smoke in the area of the Mount Falcon Park in Jefferson County. Crews arrived and found a fire burning inside the park with only access to the fire was to hike in, and there was a request for more resources. Crews hiked into the park to investigate, and found a small wildland fire which was contained by late afternoon. No structures were threatened and the cause is unknown.
