Golden Commercial Fire

At 13:05 on February 11th, 2013 Golden Fire Department was dispatched to a confirmed structure fire at 600 9th St. at the CoorsTek building. 911 caller confirms that flames showing in the vacuum furnace area. Chief 21 advised dispatch for an engine from Fairmount Fire Protection District and a truck company from Pleasant View Fire Department. Chief 21 arrived to light smoke showing from the first floor with the building being evacuated. Engine 21 laid in from Washington St. and Tower 21 arrived and provided primary search. Engine 32 pulled a hand line in. Truck 41 arrived and set up for man power. The fire was confined to the heating area and was quickly knocked by crews. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
