Pleasant View Fire Department (PVFD), established in 1949 as part of the Metropolitan District covering 2.5 square miles in Jefferson County (Colorado) including the areas of Camp George West, Colorado Mills, Colorado State Patrol Academy, Crestview Villa, Denver West Village, Golden, Golden Hills, Golden Pines, Jefferson County Fairgrounds, Lakewood, Lena Gulch, Mt. Vernon, Orchard Street Park, Rock Rest, South Golden Road, South Table Mountain, Vernon Gardens, Westblade Park, West Pleasant View and part of the I-70 corridor.
The district borders the following: 6th Ave. frontage road to W. 15th Ave. and S. Table Mountain, Coors St. to Ulysses St. (FDID #05981)
Pleasant View Fire Department, is part of the Pleasant View Metropolitan District, a Title 32 Special District.
Pleasant View Fire Department has a dual-response arrangement with West Metro Fire Rescue to serve the Colorado Mills Mall and Denver West Retail.
Stadium Medical is the EMS contract provider for the district.
Pleasant View Fire Department is part of the Cooperative Services Study that was completed at the end of 2021 to study the merging with Fairmount Fire protection District & Golden Fire Department. The study was favorable to merge all three organizations together, although Golden Fire Department has indicated that they would like to take a pause to further consider the study. Pleasant View and Fairmount will continue to evaluate the merits of the study throughout 2022 with a possible consolidation in 2023.
