Firewomen 2013 Conference

Female Firefighters from across the United States attended the Firewomen 2013 Conference in Frisco on October 4th, 5th, and 6th, 2013. The conference was sponsored by the Division of Fire Prevention and Control, Lake Dillon Fire Rescue, Summit County Ambulance Service and the Colorado State Chiefs Association. The conference allowed Firefighters to network and learn from each other. The conference took place in Frisco at the High Country Training Center of Summit County. Over 100 women from all around the Untied States attended the three day conference. The conference held classes and live fire classes and scenarios. Firefighters practiced forcible entry, RIT scenarios, Fire suppression, ladder and truck operations, hose operations, saw and ventilation operations. The Conference also had classes and seminars by local instructors, class’s attendants discussed and learn about subjects such as Command Presence, The Three B’s of Leadership, Diversity 360 and much more. These classes also allowed fellow Firefighters to learn from each other and express themselves in a safe and trusted atmosphere.
