Thornton Chimney Fire

Around 19:00 on January 28th, 2013 Thornton Fire Department was alerted to a chimney fire. Truck 74 and Engine 75 arrived on scene to find fire and smoke venting from a chimney and quickly involving part of the roof and attic. Crews paired off and began offensive fire attack inside as well as extension searches and operations on the roof. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes with extensive overhaul operations needed. No injuries were reported and the fire in under investigation. No other information is available at this time.
