West Metro Structure Fire

At 15:41 on June 28th, 2013 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire at 253 Holman Way. Dispatch advised that 911 caller reported smoke coming from the patio and a window melting, and District 1 upgraded the call to a confirmed structure fire response. Engine 5 arrived to a two-story multi-family town-home with light smoke showing on the Alpha side, established their own water supply and began fast attack. Crews found fire on the second floor and Engine 3 stretched a 1 3/4 line from Engine 5 for fire attack. Rescue 4 set-up for search and Engine 2 as RIT. Medic 8 arrived and assigned to utilities and then to medical, and Tower 3 went to the roof for vertical ventilation. Crews got a quick knock on the fire and out at 15:46. The fire damaged 2 units with no injuries expect for a family cat with smoke inhalation. Additional information was provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
