Vehicle Into House

Denver Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 4400 block of Steele St. around 16:20 on September 4th, 2014. Initial reports indicated that a vehicle had crashed into a house. Units arrived on scene and discovered that a blue Ford Explorer crashed through the front wall of a residence at 4455 Steele Street. Two occupants of the residence were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the SUV attempted to flee on foot and was detained by neighbors. DFD’s Technical Rescue Team was called to the scene to shore up the building. Denver Police are investigating, but believe alcohol may be a factor in this incident. The residence sustained significant damage.
