Golden Highway 6 Brush Fire

Around 14:30 on February 14th, 2015 Golden Fire Department was dispatched to a reported brush fire in the area of Hwy. 6 Ave. below Lookout Mountain. Crews arrived to a wind-driven brush fire that was fast moving west of Hwy. 6th Ave. between by Lakota Hills (Eagle Ridge Dr.) & 19th St. by Beverly Heights Park. Mutual-aid was requested from Fairmount Fire Protection District & Pleasant View Fire Department. Crews worked heavy fire conditions before getting control of the fire that burned about 2 acres, no structures were lost and the cause is under investigation.

Pleasant View: Engine 41 & Brush 41
