Wheat Ridge Suspicious Package

On September 18th, 2015 Wheat Ridge Fire Protection District was alerted to a suspicious package at the Seniors Resource Center 3227 Chase St. Crews arrived and started evacuation of the building of the adult day of senior citizens, and bused then to another location. Wheat Ridge Police Department investigated the threat, and then called the Jefferson County Sheriff Bomb Squad to investigate the device, which was determined not to be explosive.
