Wheat Ridge House Fire

Just after 16:00 on February 4th, 2015 Fairmount Fire Protection District Engine 33 driving on Youngfield St. reported that smoke and flames were showing from back of a structure at W. 41st Ave. and pulled a hand line in for fire attack. Arvada Fire Protection District was then dispatched out to a working structure fire in the 4100 block of  Youngfield St. in Wheat Ridge. Engine 52 arrived to a single-story structure with smoke showing from the Charlie side, and secured the water supply to Engine 33. Battalion 51 arrived and assumed Youngfield command, and assigned Engine 56 to assist Engine 33. Truck 56 assigned to search and check for extension, and Medic 51 as medical. The fire was quickly knocked and held to the room of origin and contents, and cancelled the rest of the assignment. All searched proved negative with no extension found. Although this address is located in the City of Wheat Ridge, Arvada Fire is responsible for fire & EMS coverage. Additional information provided by Arvada Fire Protection District
