Denver House Fire

At 14:43 on April 2nd, 2016 Denver Fire Department was dispatched out to a residential structure fire in the 3600 block of Ivanhoe St. in Northeast Park Hill. Truck 26 arrived on scene to a one-story single-family residence with heavy fire and smoke showing from the Charlie-Delta corner, and started primary search. Engine 10 arrived and started fire attack. Chief 4 arrived and took command, Tower 15 laddered the roof and secured the utilities. Crews were able to make a quick knock of the fire. A neighbor, who spotted the flames while passing by, was able to make entry into the residence and rescue the occupant, which was also transported to a local hospital with another patient, both with smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire, which started in a back bedroom is under investigation.
