Denver Attic Fire

At 19:32 on August 7th, 2016 Denver Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 3700 block of W. Floyd Ave. in Harvey Park South. Engine 25 arrived to a single-family structure with smoke showing, and laid in from Lowell Blvd. Engine 25 advanced a line in for fire attack and Engine 36 secured the water supply. Engine 37 laid in from Osceola St. and advanced a back-up line. Truck 28 started a primary search and Truck 38 went to the roof.  Chief 7 arrived and assumed command and reported a attic fire with smoke showing from all the eves. A primary search found two family pets that were safety reunited to their owners without injuries. Crews pulled the ceiling and the roof was opened up with the fire quickly controlled.  No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
