Glendale House Fire

On August 4th, 2016 Denver Fire Department responded to a single-family structure fire at 1470 S. Kearney St. in Glendale. Truck 19 arrived to smoke showing and possibly an exterior fire with extension. Engine 24 laid in from Florida Ave. & Kearney St. and advance a line in for fire attack. Within moments command requested medical needed at the front of the building after firefighters rescued one occupant from inside. Engine 22 arrived and laid in from a second water supply at Jasmine Way & Florida Ave. and stretched a back-up line in. The fire was quickly controlled and all other searches proved negative. One victim was transported to a local hospital and the fire is under investigation. Additional information was provided by Denver Fire Department.
