Wheat Ridge Garage Fire

At 00:35 on March 20th, 2016 Wheat Ridge Fire Protection District with auto-aid from West Metro Fire Rescue & Fairmount Fire Protection District responded to a reported structure fire in the 7600 block of W. 47th Ave. Engine 71 arrived to smoke showing from an attached garage, and began fire attack in the offensive strategy. Tower 72 arrived and found fire showing from the Charlie side, and pulled a 2nd line off Engine 71. District 1 arrived and took over command, and assigned Engine 1 to utilities. Crews were able to get the fire under control quickly and out with no extension to the attic of the garage. The cause is under investigation.
