Adams County East 144th Ave Fire
North Metro Structure Fire
Just after 23:06 on August 26th, 2018 Adcom dispatched out North Metro Fire Rescue District to a structure fire at E. 144th Ave. & Gaylord St. in the Wadley Farms subdivision. Adcom advised crews that 911 caller reporting flames through the roof, Battalion 61 enroute reporting smoke in the air and requested a major incident tone for a working fire. Engine 64 arrived to a two-story residential structure fully involved wind driven fire and started defensive operations, pulled a 2 1/2 attack line in on Alpha side, and Engine 66 established a water supply to Engine 64. Battalion 61 arrived and assumed command on the Bravo side with the command post. Truck 74 arrived and assisted Engine 64 on the attack of the fire, and Engine 75 pulled a attack line in on the Bravo side. Engine 63 set-up on the Delta with two attack lines, Command request a water tender from Brighton Fire Rescue for water shuttle, due to the water hydrant locations but was cancelled shortly after going on scene. The fire was put under control at 23:48, and crew remained on scene to monitor and manage hot spots through the night. York St. was shut down at 142nd Ave for water supply ops. One firefighter was injured and transported from Medic 66 to a local hospital and was later released.
