Castle Rock House Fire

At 01:58 on July 27th, 2018 Castle Rock Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at Wolfensberger Rd. & Red Hawk Dr. with multiple 911 calls. Battalion 151 arrived to a fully involved residential structure with defensive operations, and limited hydrants. Command request mutual-aid brush trucks from West Douglas County Fire Protection District & Larkspur Fire Protection District with hot spot fires in the open space. Crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the nearby Ridgeline Open Space and got the fire under control at 02:52 with an extended mop up. The house is a total loss and the fire is under investigation.
