Denver Commercial Structure Fire

At 16:39 on December 15th, 2018 Denver Fire Department responded to a reported commercial structure fire at the Texas de Brazil restaurant 8370 E. Northfield Blvd. in the Shops at Northfield Stapleton. Dispatched advised that security on scene reported smoke and fire showing from inside the building. Engine 26 arrived on scene to nothing showing, established a water supply and made entry with Rescue 2 and Truck 26. Crews found light smoke and active fire in the hood system, and Chief 5 arrived and assumed command. Tower 15 arrived, assigned to the roof, and found active fire from inside the vent. Engine 9 pulled a line off Engine 27 to Tower 15 on the roof, Ops 2 arrived as Safety and Tower 27 as RIT. Crews put water on the fire in the vent from the roof and got the fire controlled, and crews worked overhaul and checked for hot spots in the fire unit.
