Just after 20:00 on December 8th, 2018 South Metro Fire Rescue & Littleton Fire Rescue were dispatched from Metcom to a fire alarm activation at 10005 Commons St. in Lone Tree. Upon arrival crews found water flowing from the fire sprinkler system and one unit in the strip mall full of smoke. The incident was upgraded to a full 1st alarm commercial structure fire response as Firefighters from Engine 44 stretched a hose line and Tower 34 gained access to the interior from the Charlie side. District 1 assumed command on the Alpha side, he assigned Battalion 3 as the Charlie Division and Safety 32 as the incident safety officer. Engine 44 established their own water supply, Tower 45 set up for aerial operations and provided a roof report to command. Once crews were inside Magic Nails & Lashes they determined that the fire had been extinguished, all searches were clear, and no injuries occurred. Adjoining businesses were checked for fire extension and none was found. The majority of personnel were released from the scene within 30 minutes, first arriving crews remained on scene for 2 hours ventilating smoke and mitigating water damage.
