Adams County Garage Fire

At 10:22 on September 21st, 2019 Adams County Fire Rescue & Federal Heights Fire Department were alerted to a grass fire in the 7800 block of Greenwood Blvd. in Sherrelwood. Adcom upgraded the call with multiple 911 calls of a garage fire in the 7800 block of Granada. Battalion 11 arrived to a fully involved garage with structures threatened, and requested a major incident tone and a 2nd medic to the scene. Engine 41 arrived and started quick attack on the fire in the defensive mode. Engine 11 arrived and established a water supply to Engine 41, and Engine 13 pulled a 2nd line in on the Bravo side for fire attack. Engine 1 entered the alley and used the booster line for a small amount of brush on fire. SAM 11 set-up rehab with Medic 41. Crews got the fire under control at 10:40 and started overhaul. Xcel was called to the scene. The cause is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
