Arvada Basement Fire

At 12:46 on August 8th, 2019 Arvada Fire Protection District responded to a basement fire in the 5600 block of Everett St. Jeffcom advised that all residents were able to evacuate out of the structure. Engine 51 arrived to a 2-story small single family residents with smoke showing and a working fire in the basement, pulled a 1 3/4 attack line on the Alpha side in the offensive mode. Rescue 52 arrived on scene and pulled a backup line, and started primary search. Battalion 52 arrived and assumed command, and Battalion 51 assigned as safety. Crews got a quick stop on the fire and under control at 01:02. Truck 54 started ventilation, and crews worked overhaul. American Red Cross was called to the scene to assist. No injuries and the cause is under investigation.
