Aurora Compactor Fire

On October 8th, 2018 at approximately 15:25 Aurora Fire Rescue and South Metro Fire Rescue were dispatched to a reported commercial structure fire at the Stein Mart 6514 S. Parker Rd. Units arrived on scene and found a fire in a compactor that dumped smoked into the store. Crews worked for about an hour to extinguish the fire in the compactor and ventilate the smoke from the building. No injuries were reported.
