Bennett Weed Fire

On September 14th, 2019 at 13:11 Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue and auto-aid from the I-70 Corridor Fire responded to a large weed fire at E. 38th Ave. & Penrith Rd. west of the Town of Bennett. Chief 91 arrived to a large weed fire high flames with medium fuels. Brush Engine 91 arrived and started a direct attack on the fire, and Tender 91 arrived and assigned as water supply Tender 81. Brush 92 assisted Brush 82 on the west flank, and Tender 41 with water supply. Brush 81 arrived and assigned on the East Flank of the fire. Crews got a quick handle on the fire at 13:30 and Buckley Fire & Emergency Services, Byers Fire Protection District & Deer Trail Rural Fire Protection District were cancelled before arriving on scene. Crews was contained at 13:36 and crews worked overhaul and hot spots. Brighton Fire Rescue District back-filled Bennett-Watkins fire district.

Buckley: Tender 8 (Cancelled)
